Our Mission
The Mission of the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown is to provide a safe haven for lost, homeless, and abused companion animals; to help reunite lost companion animals with their family; to find new homes for adoptable abandoned animals; and to aid in strengthening the human to animal bond.
Adoption Policy
Making the decision to adopt a pet is a serious commitment. Everyone in the household should be in agreement on getting a pet and everyone should be a part of the decision. Each of our adoptable pets have unique personalities, so it is important that you make time to visit the shelter and get to know the animal you are thinking about bringing into your home. Once you have decided to adopt, you will need to fill out an Adoption Application and turn it into the staff of the Animal Rescue League. We ask that you call the shelter the following business day to check on the status of your application. It is important that you fill out the application completely and accurately. Delays in processing your application could result in a missed opportunity for you to get the pet you are interested in.
