North Florida Rescue, Inc.

Blountstown, FL

Our Mission

Our mission is to save the abused, neglected and stray animals in Calhoun County, FL and the surrounding counties. We rescue from several neighboring counties. We work relentlessly to save these animals. We also work to educate the community on spaying and neutering!

Adoption Policy

It is our mission to not only save dogs from poor shelter conditions, euthanasia, and homelessness down south, but to make sure that our dogs never have to face that fate again.

We have a careful screening process that consists of a veterinary check, landlord check and a home visit ensuring that our furry friends stay in their forever homes for good. Our adoptable dogs are placed based on “Best Fit”. We also have a minimum age requirement for children in the home to be at least 5 years old. Exceptions are made with available dogs who have peacefully lived with children under 5 years old.

Our Maine adoption fees are as follows:

Under 7 years old - $495 which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, and microchip.

Over 7 years old - $370 which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, and microchip.

Adopters must be 22 years of age or older. Application and the applicable checks (vet, landlord and house visit) must be completed to adopt.

We are a foster based rescue so we do not have a shelter or physical location. To inquiry on one of our adoptable dogs, send us an email at TiffanyadoptLP@mail.com or visit our website and click on Adoptions to fill out the application. You can also follow us and get information on current and upcoming dogs on our Facebook Page – NFR Maine.
