Our Mission
WAR/SCAA is a private 501c3 non profit organization. We are all volunteers working for the same cause, to help homeless dogs and cats. We have been in existence since 2003. All of our members are volunteers (not one is ever paid a salary). The animals we rescue are kept at our homes or in foster homes we do not have any fancy shelter. We have built a indoor/outdoor kennel system which has air conditioning and heat where alot of the larger dogs are kept.
All of our animals are vetted upon arriving with our rescue including vaccines, blood tests, preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, spayed/neutered and any other medical each individual may require. We try to keep our adoption fees as low as possible by doing fundraising events. Our goal is to save and find forever homes for the homeless animals in Delaware. The local pets we get are strays and some are from owners who could no longer care for them. We also pull from local shelters when there is a need. There is an application for you to complete and if approved a contract that is required to be signed. Donations are greatly appreciated and much needed. Every dime raised goes directly to the animals for medical, food, toys and treats. Please help us help them!
