Tank Tortoise Sulcata Eagle Mountain, UT

Meet Tank, a 15ish year old 50 pound male Sulcata tortoise. Tank came to us back in June from a local shelter as a stray. His scales on his front arms werescraped off down to his muscles. Most likely happening froma torn tendon that is unfortunately no longer repairable, as the surgery only has a 50 percent chance of working if it is preformed in the first 5 days of the injury happening. Tank is an energetic man with a good appetite. His favorite things are cruising around his enclosure exploring every inch of it and munching on all the grass he can find. Tank is an overallsweet boy who just wants someone to love him and provide non stop snacks when he demands it.
Because of his non repairable torn tendon, Tank will require a daily dose of oral pain meds to keep him active, healthy and pain free.
