Meet Picasso
Picasso is a male halfmoon betta. A mustard gas variation, to be very precise. He came to us suffering from severe nitrate and ammonia poisoning as well as fin rot and ripped fins.
Keeping his tank extremely clean along with a couple of baths in methylene blue have helped him recover very well and we've seen some recovery in his fin rot as well. As far as the ripped fins (see the last photo) it will take quite some time for those to regrow, if they do. His fins are so long and flowy that adopters will have to be very mindful of tank decor, what tankmates he has if any, and use only silk plants so his fins aren't damaged any further.
Picasso very much enjoys his pellets and frozen bloodworm treats. He eats very well and consistently and he is quite active. His quarantine period will finish December 17, 2022 if all continues to go well.
Due to his poor health and physical condition upon arrival at the rescue Picasso will not be available for shipping.
