Meet Haiku
Hi, my name is Haiku! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Active, Curious. Still warming up to handling.
-Lifespan: 20 - 30 years on average - I'm a long term commitment!
-Can live with kids: Yes, snake-savvy, responsible kids ages 13+. Children should not be my primary caregiver.
-Experienced snake home: Preference given to homes with previous snake experience, but I can be your first snake as long as you can demonstrate species knowledge to your adoption counselor. If you are interested in me, do your research!
-Can live with other snakes: No - ball pythons are safest when housed individually.
-Bite History: None
-Additional information: Needs a roomy enclosure (minimum size 36" long by 18" wide) with species-appropriate temperature and humidity, controlled electronically and hides on the hot and cool side of my enclosure. I have successfully been eating frozen-thawed feeder rats here at the shelter and I'm working on shedding. If you are interested in adopting me and can support my highly specialized care requirements, submit an adoption application for me to begin the process!
