Meet Zinnia

Our adoption process can be found on our website here:

Estimated birth date: 5/1/20

Personality: Very shy (you are unable to touch this animal without it running away or being fearful, etc), Inquisitive, Energetic

Favorite treats: Bananas

Favorite toys and activities: Nibbling craft paper, playing with her plastic keys, lounging, and exploring her habitat.

Potty trained: Litter box trained, but sometimes poops next to her litter box.

This animal’s daily routine: Zinnia is fed in the morning. Her pen is open all day so that she can explore and have as much floor time as she wants. In the evenings, her foster spends time at her level talking with her and giving her a treat before closing her pen for the night.

BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Zinnia needs a rabbit to bond within her adoptive home.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: None

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? None

Health concerns: None

Behavioral concerns: Zinnia is showing some cage guarding behaviors in her foster home. We are working on this by using our trust training program to gain her trust.
As of 7/26/22 she is becoming much more comfortable around her foster and likes to take treats from their hand now.

Zinnia is very curious and likes to explore, but maybe a little shy with humans at first. She seems to like to be around people but on her own terms. If her foster sits down near her, she'll come over and sniff her and eat a treat from her hand, but she doesn't like it if you try to come to her.

Zinnia came to MNPPR due to the previous family's dog having a high prey drive.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the PetSmart at 1100 W 78th St in Richfield for meet & greets, & adoptions.

Fee: Zinnia has an adoption fee of $85

We absolutely DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS! Please do not ask.

All rabbits within MNPPR are up to date on their RHDV2 vaccinations.
