Woody's Story
Woody was running loose outside near Lake Woodward in Lake County. Fortunately, he was scooped up by a good Samaritan who took him door-to-door looking for his family. One of the doors belonged to an ORCA volunteer, and Woody was taken into foster care. Woody has some visible scarring on his nose and ear from his life before. We will never know what he survived, or how, before he was found and brought to a safe home. At the time of his rescue his fur was matted and sticky and he had a botfly making him miserable. With care and good treatment he has now blossomed into a handsome and thoughtful gentlebun who is ready for his forever home!

Woody has adapted happily to an indoor home. He quickly learned how to use a litter box and has excellent habits. He's a very good eater. He prefers toys that dispense food or treats. He is curious and clever. He knows where the food comes from and where the other bunny in the house is. He has begun training to do some simple tricks and to participate in his own care. Woody enjoys his free-roam time, binkying and running through the house, undeterred by slippery floors. He throws himself into contented flops and prefers to sleep on the cool tile floor.

Like most rabbits, Woody prefers to interact with people on his own level and on his own terms. He can be very affectionate, "grooming" his fosterer for long stretches of time. He's afraid of dogs, but he may do well with children. He would probably do well in a free-roam home with some simple bunny proofing.

We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step to our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/30180/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don't see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!

Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $90, while a pair is $150. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.
