Twinkie Rabbit Florida White Columbus, OH

Meet Twinkie! This sweet girl was surrendered to a reptile rescue with two other bunnies. The group of bunnies lived outside and were not in very good shape at the time of their surrender. Their owner said he would throw them outside if the reptile rescue did not take them. Luckily, the people running the reptile rescue recognized the poor condition of the rabbits and reached out to OHRR. The bunnies were quickly transferred here for care.

Twinkie has some muscle atrophy in her rear legs, likely due to being housed in a small cage where she could not build her posterior muscles. Due to these issues, Twinkie sometimes loses her balance. She uses a special litter box, so she doesn't lose her balance trying to hop in and out. Twinkie also takes regular anti-inflammatory pain medication to maintain her comfort.

Despite everything Twinkie has been through, she is the sweetest girl with plenty of love to give. She greets all the volunteers and visitors who come over to her pen. Twinkie is full of love and enjoys pets very much. We would love to find Twinkie a wonderful home where she is truly loved and wanted.
