Trixie's Story

Trixie was formerly bonded with another bunny, but for some reason the two stopped getting along. Her owners did not have enough space in their home to comfortably house two separate rabbits, and so she came into our care. Her previous home also had a resident black Lab, with whom she got along very well. Trixie has been very interested in the other bunnies residing in her foster home, so she could potentially do well with another bunny. She gets along well with the two children in her foster home, ages 5 and 7, and lets them pet her, but she tends to get skittish around very young children.

Trixie is a very active girl and loves her free roam time! She loves getting attention and petting from her humans, but, like most bunnies, she is not crazy about being picked up and will only tolerate it for a short time. Trixie enjoys flinging her toys and boxes around and chewing on cardboard or paper. She has strong opinions about her living area and the arrangement thereof, so, to avoid her disapproval, her foster mom tries to clean her pen when Trixie is out running around. Trixie is looking for that special forever home where she can have lots of free roam time, toys, and love.

We adopt to indoor homes only! This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.
