Meet Sputnik
Hi, my name is Sputnik! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: A bit skittish, friendly, curious
-Can Live With Kids: Yes, but an adult must be my primary caregiver
-Experienced Rabbit Home: Not required, but we strongly recommend doing plenty of research if I will be your first rabbit
-Energy Level: Medium
-Can Live With Other Rabbits: Likely yes, after a slow and structured introduction process (ask staff for more details). I would do best with a rabbit of similar size.
-Litter Box Trained: Unknown
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a neuter/mc
Additional Information: Sputnik will need a nice roomy enclosure with daily exercise and socialization. A cage that would work for smaller rabbits is not going to be appropriate for Sputnik due to his size - he would do best as a "house rabbit" who has access to a larger area, possibly a whole room or a portion of a room divided with an x-pen. We will request a photo of his enclosure prior to adoption to ensure it is appropriately sized.
Sputnik's diet should consist of unlimited grass hay, high quality rabbit pellets, and fresh greens daily. He can also have the occasional treat (ie. rabbit-safe veggies and fruits). Sputnik would do best in a home with people who treat him like a member of the family! Much like cats and dogs, rabbits are social creatures and are happiest when regularly interacted with. If you'd like to meet this big guy to see if he's the bun for you, the first step is filling out an adoption application.
