Meet Spritz

Spritz is an absolute sweetheart. She gives kisses!

Spritz was rescued by concerned neighbors after being part of multiple bunnies dumped outside. Spritz gave birth to a litter of 7 kits overnight 6/6-7, shortly after being rescued. She will be spayed as soon as the babies are weaned and will then be available for adoption. Spritz is very young herself. Though DOB is a guestimate, she appears to be less than a year old. She is a great candidate for bonding with another bunny. Interested applicants can get pre-approved.

It's believed that Spritz is also the mother of the 7 approximately 12-week-old babies who were also dumped one by one by heartless humans. Sadly, the father Sunny and three of the babies did not survive. Three of those older babies are also safely at BC Rabbitat. This cruelty case involved at least the 9 bunnies that we know of and has taken a heartbreaking toll on our Rabbiteers and the neighborhood where it all transpired.

We are always working with the rabbits to help them find their true bond-bun. Could your bunny be "THE Bun"? Or would you consider an already bonded pair? Fill out the application and, once approved, we'll schedule a Meet 'n' Greet to see if your household might be a bunderful match.

* Indoor Home Only *

Bunnies live an average of 8-10 years, but could live up to 16 or even longer! While they do enjoy gentle pets and head rubs, bunnies generally do not like to be picked up or held as they are prey animals and it can be very scary for them. They also need lots of space to move around, run, binky and play - so no small hutches nor cages. They are social animals who want to be with you and should be accepted as part of the family. They also thrive best in bonded pairs, especially during the hours you are otherwise occupied. They need vet visits just like a dog or cat and will require a yearly vaccination against RHDV2. This is a highly contagious and deadly virus. All of our rabbits have received their first annual vaccines.

Please do your research before adding any pet to your family. Visit rabbit.org for accurate, up-to-date bunny information. We are happy to answer any questions you may have before and after adoption, as well as assist in helping you decide whether bunnies are right for you. We offer ongoing support and encourage ongoing learning to ensure that you and your bunnies thrive.

Please find a place in your heart and home for unwanted, discarded shelter animals. Thank you for adopting, not shopping!
