Meet Spongebob
Meet Spongebob, an approximately 5 year old New Zealand mix. He is often overlooked because of his beautiful red eyes or his past, but this bunny has tons of love to give his new family!
He loves his cuddles and will often lay there for hours enjoying his head scratches. He also loves zooming and doing binkies. He loves spending time outside of his x-pen and being able to hang out with his people. He has excellent litterbox skills!
He is very food motivated and has yet to discover a food he doesn't like.
He loves being around people but also shows many signs of wanting to bond with another rabbit.
When he arrived in rescue, he had several cysts under his chin that were causing him some trouble. During his neuter, his chin was cleaned up and drained and so far, they haven't come back. His adopter should be aware that there's always the possibility that they could come back in the future, and require treatment - or they may never be seen again! He is also prone to some matting on his feet.
He has a moderate case of pododermatitis and will be required to wear booties for the remainder of his lifetime. Don't worry, we provide 2 pairs with adoption, and you will be able to purchase future pairs from the rescue. He will still live a happy life with regards to this condition! He may also require additional treatments (medication/laser therapy) in the future.
He would make a great companion rabbit or in a home with no children under 14 years of age. Although he has come a long way he can still nip when he doesn't feel he is being understood or feels ignored and he wants attention.
His adoption fee is $40.00.
