Roxie's Story

The name on everybody’s lips is gonna be… ROXIE!

That’s right, Roxie is here, and she is the star of the show! This little diva loves ALL of the attention and none of the containment. You can often find her in an amazing sploot, and she has perfected the dead bunny flop. And like any good diva, she will throw a fit if she doesn’t get what she wants or is ignored (and that means digging up her litterbox). Roxie can get territorial in an x-pen so she MUST be a free roaming rabbit. Even then she seems to think the only way to communicate is by lunging and growling so adults and experienced bunny humans only please!

Even with that being said - Roxie is the epitome of a social bun – she wants ALL the pets (head, ears, cheeks, back… it doesn’t matter, just pet her!). She loves pets so much that she gets mad if you stop.

Some of Roxie’s favorite things in life include exploring, food, and toys (chew toys, sticks, and anything she can throw). She is quite fearless (hardwood floors don’t scare her) and quite the jumper (so a 3ft fence is needed to keep her out of spaces). She LOVES her food- but she also misplaces her eagerness into ferocity so treats and food must be given carefully.

Roxie is a clean girl in terms of her litter habits, as long as you don’t displease her. She would probably do fine with cats and dogs, but we suggest no kids with her territorial nature and food aggression. It’s possible that she would get along with just the right bun, but she would definitely want to be the one in charge.

So, do you have unlimited attention to shower this diva with? Do you have lots of space that she can run around in and wear herself out? Are you ready to pamper and pet this queen? If you answered yes, then throw in an application today… Roxie is waiting! www.iowarabbitrescue.org/adopt.html
