Meet Pierre
Pierre is our grumpy guy who is looking for that home with lots of TLC and appreciation for his personality. He is well loved in his foster home, getting the extra attention and love even if he grumps the whole time. Although you can tell he is loving it. But it is time he had a home of his own. Pierre came to our chapter at the beginning of the year with a mouthful of issues. What were left of his front teeth were growing in every direction but the correct one, even out of his mouth. He also had an abscess under a tooth. It was decided that the best course of action was to remove the remaining front teeth. After surgery, a couple follow up dental filings, and two rounds of antibiotics Pierre's teeth are currently stable. He will need his teeth routinely checked and may need dental filings in the future. He will also need his veggies cut in smaller pieces since does not have front teeth to cut them as he eats. Just a little extra work for all the grumpy love in return.
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out our on-line adoption application at the following link. You must be at least 18 to adopt from us. http://rabbitsinthehouse.org/?page_id=145
The application is not a commitment to adopt. It’s just a place to start: to let us know you are interested, to give us some information to properly advise you, and to help us keep track of people who have contacted us about adoption. The questions are designed so that we have consistent information from each adopter. Sometimes just emailing back and forth or talking on the phone we might forget to ask something. The form has been a big help and time saver for us.
