Meet Maxine
Maxine is a 3-year-old Rex and Lion Head mix. She is nothing but energy, sass, and curiosity! When Maxine isn’t being mischievous and investigating everything, she is a serious foodie who loves her snacks. Having previously been overweight and very resentful of being put on a diet, she will let you know when it is feeding time by waiting by her bowl. She hasn’t met a treat she doesn’t like but is particularly fond of timothy cookies.
Maxine has excellent litter habits and prefers a high-sided litter box. Along with being a helper and reminding you of feeding time, she will also let you know if it has been too long since you cleaned her litter pan it and start emptying it for you.
Maxine prefers a “no touchy” approach right now due to previously being kept in a small cage with very little freedom. Maxine wants room to run around and do things on her own time. Maxine needs an adult hooman that will work on building trust with patience and plenty of treats. Some of her favorite things to do are investigate new things, climbing, throwing toys, and chewing cardboard boxes.
Maxine is an alpha bun. She might do well in a home with dogs or cats, but she would be the boss! She is also willing to go on dates, but it would take just the right laid back guy to make a good husbun for her. Maxine’s ideal home is one in which she can run around and explore, get plenty of nap and snack time, and hoomans that will be patient and let her warm up to them naturally.
