Meet Mary Hoppins
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! If you say it loud enough...you can come adopt me, Mary Hoppins! Unlike the ultra-polite and high society Mary Poppins, I can have a bit of an attitude. Let me tell you, though, I've gotten so much friendlier and nicer than my first months here! The staff and volunteers worked with me every day and their patience paid off! I used to be irritated and grouchy and did not let anyone pet me. I had a terrible lunging habit that made people stay away. I grunted, snorted, and grabbed my food from the people who were just trying to be friendly to me. I should have been called "Attila the Bun"! All those behaviors are almost gone now, thanks to my wonderful friends who cared about me and loved me unconditionally. I still have my moments and do not like to be picked up, but I like being petted, especially between my ears. I am a different rabbit when I'm out of my cage! I love hopping around investigating new smells. If you sit on the floor, I hop over and lie down beside you to be petted! I have a jingle bell ball that I like to throw around to keep myself busy. I really enjoy my fresh veggies and fruits like carrots, apple, banana, lettuce, parsley, and other healthy greens. I've lived here since June 2020, so I need to entertain myself. I like tipping my box and tossing it around my cage. I'm looking to go home with a bunny savvy, experienced owner who can make me into a dancing twirling Disney delight, like my namesake!
