Martina's Story
Meet Martina! Martina has the most beautiful, ruby eyes you ever did see! But she still is shy, and is working to come out of her shell after having a rough start to life.

Despite her shyness, Martina loves to explore! Martina is still working on getting used to being petted, but it’s such a great joy to watch her play with her favorite cardboard boxes and toys! When it comes to food, Martina is not picky (but she needs her time to figure out whether she likes new food offerings). Martina also prefers to not be picked up.

Martina has been getting much better with her litter habits, but she is a bit territorial still with other buns. Other than in terms of her litter box, she does great with her bun sisters and other buns in the rescue. Due to her ruby eyes, we think that Martina might not have the best of eyesight, which can lead to her getting startled. Because of this, Martina will need a quiet home (she would probably do okay with cats and dogs once she’s used to them, as well as quiet, calm kids).

Martina’s calm lifestyle will definitely thrive in a quiet home where her family can show her what it’s like to be loved!

If you think Martina would be a good fit for your home, please fill out an application at www.iowarabbitrescue.org/adopt
