Maleficent Rabbit American Mix Richmond, CA

Meet Maleficent, an easygoing rabbit who may come off as shy at first, but quickly becomes a sweetheart once she gets to know you. She is equal parts energetic and chill, happy to explore or just hang next to you. Maleficent needs plenty of space to run around and zoomie to her heart's content. She loves pets.

Maleficent was in a foster home recently, and here's what they had to say about her: "We call her Mal. She's very receptive to the attention and pets from our kids. She's very curious and has explored every inch of our apartment. She has attempted to chew on things she's not supposed to but after 1-2 interventions she usually stops. Mal likes to run and explore and will come up to us and nudge when she's ready to be pet. She's not into toys very much but really enjoys destroying paper towel rolls. She has a lot of character! She's particular about her pen and will arrange it in a certain way after you've set it up for her. Mal has a mind of her own but is quite sweet though too. Some of her favorite foods include lettuce, dandelion greens, and carrot tops. For a treat, she really likes pieces of carrots, apples, and bananas. For whatever reason she will not touch zucchini!"

In another recent foster home, Maleficent did great with the foster's resident dog and their two children ages 6 and 10. She likes being held and petted. She's super curious about her environment and is perfectly litter trained. Maleficent loves digging and throwing balls high up in the air with her teeth. She has a huge personality and her foster family shared they had so much fun with her. She liked watching TV on the couch with them. They said she brought so much laughter to their lives.

Another foster shares, "She loves to sit at my feet while I work or on the couch with me. She loves to explore and hop around. She always likes to be close by me. She is good at getting
into areas I have tried to block off for her! She also sometimes nips at people, especially if there are a lot of new people around or when food is involved. She's a young rabbit who gets easily
excited. To put it simply, she's an awesome bunny."

Maleficent is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated against RHDV2 (vaccine needs to be administered annually). House Rabbit Society recommends all rabbits see a rabbit-savvy
veterinarian once a year.
