Madea*'s Story

Madea is a sweet 8 year old lady who had been paired some years ago with a bonded mate who had passed away. She will accept occasional head pats but she doesn't often like sitting on laps or unstable ground. She is very affectionate and loves to accept treats with finger kisses and chinning.

As a middle aged to senior bunny, Madea prefers a low sided litterbox. She has the type of fur that grows fast and thick with a tendency to mat unless she is frequently brushed. If she isn't taken care of properly, then she can experience matting on her bottom and requires extra assistance with cleaning her.

Madea was originally adopted from a rescue shelter with her bonded mate. They lived together for several years. After that, Madea lived side by side with another rabbit.

Madea loves a mixed green salad (usually store bought boxes), and also loves carrots, bananas and baked treats made for rabbits.

She enjoys shredding cardboard and throwing cups around. She also likes jute balls with a twist, apple tree sticks, hard plastic balls and balls that release pellets. Her forage mat is a favorite when loaded with pellets. She also adores spending time in her blue igloo.

Madea spends her time in a large penned off area in the den. She likes to move around in her blue igloo like a turtle but keeps everything else the same.

Madea is currently living in Richmond.
