Meet Lafayette

Lafayette was found as a stray and threatened with euthanasia, so he came to NMHRS where he has been in foster care. His long hair was so matted that he couldn't see and he could barely move.

In his photos, his hair looks short because he has received a haircut, but as an angora rabbit his hair will grow a few more inches. Because of this, he will need to be combed daily and his adopter will need to be comfortable cutting mats out of his fur. Rabbit groomers do not exist like dog groomers so there is no professional to help you. He will need full haircuts in warmer months, which can take 4 hours. While Lafayette is cute and fluffy, his adopter should be prepared for 10 years of grooming.

He is neutered and vaccinated for RHDV2. His adoption fee is $75.
