Estimated birth date: 4/27/19
Personality: Inquisitive, Friendly toward humans, Cuddly, Playful, Energetic, Nervous, Sweet, Likes to lick you
Favorite treats: We’re still finding out!
Favorite toys and activities: Chewing on cardboard and playing “pick up sticks”
Potty trained: Litter box trained
This animal daily routine: She spends the day with her foster, who has a desk set up in her room. She often will come up and say hi.
BFF (Does this animal have or need a same species friend in their home?): No, but Iris will need a buddy in her adoptive home!
Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: None
Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Iris has not had any exposure to children.
Health concerns: None
Behavioral concerns: Her foster’s home office is set up in her enclosure so that she gets used to humans being around. She’s been introduced her to a few other humans. She’s not afraid of them and will even let you pet her if you approach slowly. Everytime her foster handles her she gets treats or pellets so she has positive association with handling.
Other notes: Her foster often tries to play with her by handing her toys. Sometimes she takes the toys and puts it down then picks it up again and again. She will do this for quite some time.
Iris came to MNPPR as a transfer from another rescue who was over capacity.
Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. Iris’s foster parent prefers to meet at the Roseville PetSmart - 2480 Fairview Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113 for meet & greets, & adoptions.

Fee: Iris's adoption fee is $85
Due to health and safety concerns, we are now pursuing adoptions with additional safety measures in place. We will be asking potential adopters to discuss their individual preferences and comfort levels involving safety precautions during the greeting/adoption day step. We are HIGHLY suggesting all participants wear facial coverings, stay at least six feet apart, & use sanitization of all surfaces, and hands before and after contact.
We absolutely DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS! Please do not ask.
