Dawn and Joyce's Story

Hello there! My name’s Dawn and along with my best friend Joyce, we’re part of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Squad at A Home for Everybunny. Unlike our namesakes we are not mother and daughter but sisters (or might as well be) that enjoy being with each other. Some people think we’re twins! And while we love each other, we mostly turn up our nose at the other rabbits at our foster human’s home.

We came from a rough situation and are under a year old so we are looking for a forever family who wants to spoil us and teach us all about being a house bunny. We are excited to discover what our favorite veggies and treats are, what toys are the most fun and whether we prefer apple sticks or willow sticks. We have been introduced to some plastic toys and some cardboard but would like to be able to explore other options as well. We of course love our hidey where we huddle and silently judge!

Joyce told me to make sure you knew that we are still not entirely sold on the awesomeness of humans and their petting hands but a few pets on the head have been nice from time to time and maybe we just need more practice? With some patience and spoiling, I think we can be convinced. We do submit to handling if we absolutely must without too much of a fight.

We were just born earlier in 2024 in March and we would really like to find our forever home so we can get away from all these other foster bunnies and settle in. We may just be the key to your heart!
Interested in adopting Dawn and Joyce? If so, fill out an application at www.iowarabbitrescue.org/adopt to get the process started!
