Cotton's Story

Meet sweet little Cotton Bottom! This little guy is a full grown adult REW (red eye white) Lionhead. He came from a pretty rough background outdoors, and we don't know exactly how old he is but he has acclimated well to being a house bunny and having a timely meal delivery service!

Cotton Bottom is an independent, shy bunny but has made huge strides while he's been in foster care. He's very clean and has excellent litter habits. He is not interested in being picked up, snuggled or even pet a lot. However, he does love people and being near them and will sit or sleep next to your feet for hours. He loves to boop legs, nibble slippers and sniff hands.

The way to Cotton's heart and trust is through food! He will gobble up his daily pellets and greens, as well as treats of apple, banana, and crunchy hay based treats too! We are confident that a new home that is willing to feed him from their hands for a while will quickly earn his trust and love. He'll happily allow you to pet his head when you're delivering a tasty treat!

He hasn't been around dogs or cats, but doesn't seem to like the company of other rabbits. He might find the right friend eventually, but for now we think he would be fine as a single bunny in a home who would spend lots of time with him while respecting his independent spirit. Like most REW bunnies, he doesn't have the best vision and can be spooked easily by quick movements. Because of this we think he would do well in a home with older children.
