Meet Checkers
Hi, my name is Checkers! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Sweet, gentle, timid
-Can Live With Kids: Yes, but an adult must be my primary caregiver
-Experienced Rabbit Home: Not required, but we strongly recommend doing plenty of research if this will be your first rabbit
-Energy Level: Medium
-Can Live With Other Rabbits: Unknown history - will need a slow and structured introduction to ensure everyone gets along. Ask staff for more details on properly introducing rabbits.
-Litter Box Trained: It doesn't appear so - could use some help with training!
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
Additional Information:
Checkers will need a nice roomy cage/enclosure with daily exercise and socialization. His diet should consist of unlimited grass hay, high quality rabbit pellets, and fresh greens daily. He can also have the occasional treat (ie. rabbit-safe fruits and veggies). Rabbits are extremely temperature sensitive and will need to be housed indoors. Much like cats and dogs, rabbits are social animals and need plenty of interaction/mental stimulation to keep them happy and healthy.
If you'd like to meet Checkers to see if he's the right bunny for you, the first step is filling out an adoption application!
