Personality: Very shy (you are unable to touch this animal without it running away or being fearful, etc.), Inquisitive, Friendly toward humans, Friendly toward other animals, Playful, Nervous, Sweet

Favorite treats: Pears and Apples

Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Rabbit Food, Fruit, Veggies, Leafy Greens, Western Timothy Hay

Favorite toys and activities: She loves to play in her tunnel, ripping up corrugated cardboard toys, & loved chasing her sister Hoshi before she passed.

Potty trained: Litter box trained

This animal’s daily routine: Chanela eats pellets and fresh greens for breakfast, spends most of the day exploring the living room and napping, eats pellets, fresh greens, and some veggies for dinner plus a special treat (e.g., a piece of apple or pear)

BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Chanela needs a buddy in her adoptive home. She recently lost her cage mate who has been with her since birth.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Cats - she doesn't seem to mind them.

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Yes, she has been around several children and does well. Although she is shy around new people she has warmed up to calm children very quickly. Chanela lives with a six-year-old and a two-year-old. Chanela readily takes treats from the kids and seems to enjoy their company. She seems excited to see the kids.

Health concerns: None

Note: Chanela likes to lounge with her legs stretched out behind her. When she's happy, she will zoom in and binky.

Hoshi & Chanela made their way to MNPPR after accidental litter became too much for their previous home to handle.
