Meet Bluebelle
Bluebelle is about 5 years old and needs a calm home to call her own!
Her adopter needs to be patient and allow her plenty of time to settle in
She was an owner surrender. After 4.5 years, her family could not keep her and surrendered her to us. She previously was kept in a small outdoor hutch. "Belle," as we call her, became very depressed. She stayed on a peepad for hours at a time, only leaving to eat very little before returning. The new surroundings were scary and she was not used to living indoors
After a few days, she stopped eating entirely. We took her to the vet where she received some medication and Critical Care to help her appetite return. Once finished with her medication, she was vaccinated and is now available for adoption! She was spayed prior to intake
A few months after intake she developed a severe URI where she struggled to breathe. We were given unhelpful advice from one vet that said it was just allergies and it would go away. She only got worse, and was struggling more everyday. We took her to a new vet that we had been using and we were informed that she had a severe URI. We started antibiotics immediately and in 2 weeks, it was clear. Due to the severity of her infection, she still sniffles throughout the day. The infection is gone, but she will likely always have a bit of a sniffle. Despite this, she is perfectly healthy and is back to her normal self!!
Belle is very sweet and loves head pats. It took several weeks before she would take treats from our hands, but she does best in a home with kitties or friendly dogs! She also does well with bunnies. She loves free roaming and has really shown us how sweet she is during her time free roaming!
Belle is litter trained on puppy pee pads. She likes to sleep in her litter box, but will only potty on the pee pads. Washable pee pads are recommended
She loves to dig and will dig blankets into comfy beds for her to lay on
Bluebelle is 5 years old, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated!

**Cages and hutches are not suitable housing for bunnies and will not be approved as housing
