Meet Bloom

Three precious babies were born in our Rabbitat to Momma May on Easter weekend. May has been an excellent mother to them and all the babies are thriving. We've decided to name them after things associated with the month of May and with Easter: Lily, Bloom and Chirp.

Bloom and Lily look like May's little mini-me's. Precious little darlings. Chirp is a beautiful lilac with blue/grey color points - so handsome!

These bunnies are a small breed and only shed/molt minimally. Every one of them display the perfect temperament as described under the Tan breed. They are thought of as a fancy show breed, so we don't often see them in rescue. They are friendly, sweet, intelligent, energetic, playful and considered excellent pets. They are cooperative while grooming and seem to bond easily with other bunnies.

Despite regular handling by our experienced and caring Rabbiteers, this little family of bunnies is not super fond of being picked up and get easily spooked. So patience and a willingness to spend time down at floor level with them will be required in their furever home (as is true with most bunnies).

Little ones have now been spayed/neutered and hormones settled. We have been working with them in seeking their true bond-bun..... and guess what? - BLOOM & CHIRP are a match! We're so happy they'll be able to go to their furever home together!

If you're looking for a pair of adorable young buns who don't shed too much, these are the buns! Fill out the application and, once approved, we'll schedule a Meet 'n' Greet to see if they might be a bunderful match for your household.

* Indoor Home Only *

Bunnies live an average of 8-10 years, but could live up to 16 or even longer! While they do enjoy gentle pets and head rubs, bunnies generally do not like to be picked up or held as they are prey animals and it can be very scary for them. They also need lots of space to move around, run, binky and play - so no small hutches nor cages. They are social animals who want to be with you and should be accepted as part of the family. They also thrive best in bonded pairs, especially during the hours you are otherwise occupied. They need regular vet appointments just like a dog or cat and should be vaccinated against RHDV2 as soon as it's available in our area. Please do your research before adding any pet to your family. We are happy to answer any questions you may have before and after adoption, as well as assist in helping you decide if a pair of bunnies is right for you.
