Meet Bao!

This cutie was captured after he'd spent more than a month running loose in a neighborhood. Miraculously, he survived freezing temperatures and various predators just long enough to be caught and brought into the Brigade.

Bao (rhymes with "wow!") is a little on the shyer side, and may dart away to hide when you first approach him. If you're calm and quiet, he perks up immediately and comes over to check you out and see if you have a treat or a pet for him. All this guy needs to open up is someone who's willing to plop down on the floor and hang out with him for a while. With time and patience, Bao's trust in you will soar. He'll thrive with a family that uses routines to establish a relationship with him.

When you greet him in the mornings or during his nighttime routine, Bao loves to stand up on his tippy-toes and sniff at the air for fresh hay, pellets, or a treat. He loves his willow toys and happily grooms his stuffed triceratops.

We also think that Bao would be a great candidate to be bonded with another spayed or neutered rabbit. Bonding can take time, but it's so rewarding to see that special relationship blossom!
