Bambi's Story

Guess what my name is? If you guessed Thumper, you would be wrong! I’m actually called Bambi, named after Thumper’s deer friend! How’s that for a plot twist? I’m a shy but sassy one-year-old lop boy who hated the animal shelter life and am just looking for a quiet, loving home of my own.

In my foster’s home, I feel much more secure than at the noisy shelter so I’m starting to relax and my personality is starting to shine. I’m not interested in toys yet but there’s nothing I love more than just hanging out in my cardboard box and dreaming the day away. I’m not a picky eater: everything my foster has given me has been a special treat! I don’t mind pets on my big fluffy head and ears but please don’t pick me up unless you absolutely have to. Don’t worry about me being a messy boy: my litter habits are very good! I’m not sure yet if I can be friends with dogs, cats, or other bunnies; maybe with time, I will find a Thumper, Flower, or maybe even get twitterpated for a Faline.

If you think you can give me the safe, quiet home and the space and respect I need to be a happy bunny, I would love to meet you and maybe you can be my deer friend? Please fill out an application at www.iowarabbitrescue.org/adopt . Thank you!
