Meet Bailey

Bailey is a harlequin lop. She has lived with other rabbits previously. Now she's living the single life but looking for her next home. Bailey has a condition called splay leg in which her front two paws tend to splay out in front of her when she lays down. However, this doesn't slow her down! She hops around and sits up with no trouble. She has a lot of energy and loves to run around the living room and binky! It is very important for Bailey to have rabbit safe (100% cotton) rugs to run around on so she has traction. Smooth floors make it very difficult for her to get around. Additionally, due to her small size and splayed leg, she isn't able to jump very high, which makes bunny-proofing a lot easier, plus, if you use an xpen it doesn't need to be very high. She does get aggressive at mealtime, however, she's been trained to go to her xpen and run a lap or two before we put her food down. She can be petted during mealtime but does not like anyone touching her food. Otherwise, she loves to be petted and will even allow petting while she's lounging. She would do best in a home with older children and an experienced rabbit owner.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out our on-line adoption application at the following link. You must be at least 18 to adopt from us. https://www.rabbitsinthehouse.org/adoption-application.

The application is not a commitment to adopt. It’s just a place to start: to let us know you are interested, to give us some information to properly advise you, and to help us keep track of people who have contacted us about adoption. The questions are designed so that we have consistent information from each adopter. Sometimes just emailing back and forth or talking on the phone we might forget to ask something. The form has been a big help and time saver for us.
