Hey, I'm Merry! I came into care with my sister, Pippin, when the Underdogs people were doing a spay/neuter clinic. Someone told them that we were strays and so they came to find us. Thank goodness they found us when they did, because we had just had a run-in with a porcupine and both had quills in our face that were getting infected. I'm feeling much better now, and I'm ready to start the hunt for my furever family!

I hadn't really been around people until I came into foster care, so I was a bit nervous of them at first. I've really come around and I just love meeting people now, especially kids! I am very comfortable around dogs, and am great friends with the other dog in my foster home. I love attention and am very affectionate with my people - I love giving kisses to my foster family! I haven't been around any cats since coming into care, but I hope to meet some soon so that I can see if we could be friends.

I'm totally housebroken and am getting better on the leash all the time. My happy, playful personality comes through when I get to be out in the yard running around and exploring! I do not like being in a kennel but as long as the garbage is out of reach, I am not destructive and do not get into anything when my foster family is out of the house. I've already learned how to "sit" and "leave it" and would love to learn more with my new humans at an obedience class that we could go to together! Meeting new humans and dogs while learning fun tricks would be a great opportunity for us to bond as a new family!
