Chip Chihuahua & Norwich Terrier Mix lynnwood , WA

Chip is about 4 years old and weighs about 5 pounds.

Chip came to us from a shelter in Eastern Washington. He was well-loved by his previous family but had very little socialization. Combined with his breed, this makes him very apprehensive of new people. It took his foster a couple of days to gain his trust, but when she did it was like turning on a light switch. He’s become one of her favorite fosters. A family willing to work past his initial anxiety will be rewarded with a treasured friend.

Chip is very playful and gets along well with other dogs. He's very affectionate. If you pet him, he'll lick your hand to show you how much he likes you. Chip is potty trained and independent. He's always looking for cuddles but is equally happy playing with his ball or chewing on his bone. He enjoys walks on a leash. He's also very adept at playing fighting with you. Chip’s big fluffy hair makes him seem larger than he is.

We're working on getting Chip more socialized with new people. His anxiety means that he is not an ideal pet for families with young children. He likes the company of other dogs but would also be fine as a single dog.

Chip is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $350.
