Meet Rosie
Rosie is a 6 pound bundle of love. We believe she is about 4 years old.
Hi - I'm Rosie! I may look small (just 6lb), but I'm the boss around here. I let you know with cute vocalizations (wooroo!) and stomping my feet when I think it MUST be my meal time by now. I will "talk" to you when you get home from work too and tell you I'd really like a treat for being good all day.
I love playing and wrestling with my foster siblings and checking out the backyard most days. I'm housebroken, but sometimes I need coaxing if it’s cold and wet out.
I've had some health issues in the past, but I am feeling GREAT now. My knee surgery was a success and I am quite a little prancer and tail-wagger when I run around the yard. I don't really care to go on walks, but I like to play with a soft toy or a stolen sock that I'll squirrel away to my bed.
I am diabetic, but I don't let it bother me and it shouldn't bother you either. I get a little shot of insulin after each meal - and I don't make any fuss so long as I get a tasty treat before and after.
I will bond mostly to one person and my favorite thing to do is snuggle in your lap and get lots of love and back scratches. I love to sleep next to your pillow, and I am SO happy in the mornings and will probably ask for belly rubs.
I would love to be in a home with another dog. I also love kids and even toddlers. I haven't met any cats, so I don't know what to think about them yet. I just know I have a lot of love to give and hope to find my forever home soon. Meet come me and all my cuteness!
About Rosie's diabetes maintenance: Rosie's diabetes is very well maintained. She has a special food and gets insulin shots which are only $25 per month and don’t require a prescription.
Rosie has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200.
