Maggie Pit Bull Terrier Mix Manhattan, KS

SO the City has now hired a great dog trainer and we have begun working Maggie on walking, sitting, and not pulling at the leash. We know that she is going to do great, she is aware of our commands and is getting a feel for the leash commands during her sessions. Maggie loves to bounce from person to person, getting her back, scratched. She also enjoys playing with dog puzzles, which gives her a sense of calmness. She’s a very smart pup.
Over the past months Maggie has spent time with other dogs in the kennel and there has not been any aggressive behavior on her part, being with other pups, I think, relaxes her a bit. However, she is not a pup that plays much, She just likes to hang out. When treats are handed around, Maggie has not shown any food aggression towards the other pups either. She does enjoy getting a pup cup, or peanut butter in a Kong and running and playing with children is one of her favorite things to do but please don’t introduce her to cats because they are her mortal enemy .
Maggie would do great with an adopter who could spend time with her. She is a busy dog who enjoys human attention. Once Maggie settles in, I do believe she would enjoy the company of another four-legged pup. A new foster or owner would benefit greatly from looking into working/owning a deaf dog. Maggie watches her humans closely so she can understand what the person is requesting of her. Once signals are understood it should be smooth sailing. Maggie is spayed, HW negative, UTD on vaccines and she is just waiting for her hero to saver her.
