Spencer is a bundle of love, funny, incredibly affectionate, eager to please, and the best cuddle buddy you could ask for. As you can see, he knows how to relax!

Favorite things…..people, playing with his toys, sunbathing on the patio (while he keeps an eye on you), cuddling up on the couch after a nice walk. He also loves napping during car rides. Spencer is incredibly trusting, and attaches fast! He has been our shadow, following us everywhere in the house, watching everything we do with wide eyes.

Spencer is a young guy who still has a few things to learn. He has to learn basic obedience commands, but is very responsive to patient training. Also learning how to not overwhelm older dogs in the home with his eagerness to play. If there are other animals in the house, it would be ideal if they have similar energy. He could benefit from a calm, confident secure dog who wouldn’t mind Spencer’s eagerness and interest. His foster brothers are currently old and grumpy, and haven’t given Spencer the time of day.

The ideal home for Spencer would have a structured routine. As to be expected with rehoming, he has struggled with some separation anxiety, but he is growing more comfortable each day with a structured routine. He is 100% a companion, his cuddle bug personality would love to share as much time as possible with his person or family. Where some dogs attach to just one person, Spencer seems capable of loving everyone in the family.

Spencer was overweight and still needs to lose a pound to two. He enjoys working it off with multiple walks a day, and some good ol’ fashioned fetch in the yard. If Spencer is the guy for you, please fill out the online application, this little guy is ready for his forever home.

We do not have a facility, all dogs are fostered in the homes of our volunteers.
