Meet Jonathan! Jonathan is about 8-9 months old and a possible lab mix and will most likely grow into a bigger guy.

Jonathan came to HART from a local overcrowded shelter needing help with this boy. Jonathan is a special guy, because at a young age we believe he has juvenile cataracts and therefore is almost complete blind. The shelter knew that HART had the resources to get his eyes checked at the Animal eye institute.

Jonathan has had amazing news as the eye doctor believes this is reversible. According to the eye doctor, calcium has been built up in the eye and a simple fix of ointment three times a day for three weeks with a follow up appt is needed.

This guy is a big puppy for sure with big paws to match. He is doing great with his crate training and working on his potty training. He could us some puppy manners training but is a quick learner.

Jonathan loves to play with other dogs. Don’t worry though he likes to crash on the corner of the couch when playtime is over.

Jonathan is super friendly towards other people. He is a bit of a clumsy guy due mostly to needing to grow into his body and the temporary blindness. His disabilities don’t get him down though and hopefully can be resolved soon.

All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks.
