Meet Cleo
Looking for a fun-loving, spunky, cuddlesome companion? You've found her!
This sweetie is called Cleo for her pretty "eyeliner" markings. We think she's a heeler/cattle dog mix, about 1 1/2 years old and weighing about 40 lbs. She is house-trained and kennel trained, although she prefers to be left loose while you're gone and is allowed to in her foster home because she is so well behaved. Cleo walks well on a leash, and she loves both treats and affection so should be easy to train to help her gain the skills to be your perfect companion.
Cleo can still be a little fearful, particularly of men, and will bark and growl at them at first…but with a little patience she'll come to trust you and then it’s all about the belly rubs and giving kisses! The only thing she loves as much as being your (slightly) over-sized lap dog is zooming around the yard with her toys, her people, and her fur-friends.
Cleo does great playing with other dogs, but she sometimes gets scared and acts mean when she’s on leash. She currently lives with a cat and knows keep her interest at an appropriate distance. Cleo is learning to not jump but needs some more practice, so a home with small children may not be the right fit.
Cleo is looking for a forever home where she gets plenty of exercise, some positive reinforcement based training, and did I mention belly rubs?! If you, like Cleo, want to play hard and cuddle hard, apply to adopt her on our website! Her adoption fee is $220 which helps cover her vet bills!
