Meet Kentucky

Meet Kentucky! Kentucky recently arrived at CCHS from San Antonio! Her birthday is around 10/26/2018 and she weighed 53 pounds on 11/16/2021. The shelter that sent her had a lot of good things to say! Kentucky had a blast on her shelter paws outing. She rode well in the car, enjoyed attention from people, did great on leash, and seemed to be playful towards other dogs. She loves people, seems to be potty trained, and has a good amount of energy. Kentucky went on a field trip to the Leon Creek Greenway and had a blast! She enjoyed both the hike and the car ride. Kentucky loves nose and head scratches and does great on the leash. She's a very playful pup and seems to do well around other dogs too. She greets people with happy-tail wags and soft scratches to the kennel gate to come out. She will rub her whole body on the kennel door so you can pet her. She will put her head under your hand to let you know she wants to be pet. Kentucky does have an eye condition that requires her to be on meds for life. As she gets used to us doing that, it does require 2 people because she's always wiggling!

Kentucky is ready for adoption so apply today!

My adoption fee is $100.00. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Erlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS
