Gizmo Shepherd Mix Manhattan, KS

HI everybody! Let me introduce myself. My name is Gizmo, but my foster dad just calls me Mo. I am a Shepard mix boy and only about 1 to 2 years old so I am full of energy. I weigh about 60 pounds and my foster dad says I should be full grown now. I go see my doctor on November 3 and then I will be fixed, up-to-date on all my vaccinations, and ready to find my furever home.
I absolutely love my people! I will whine for a little while when they leave but then I am OK. I will always be at the door to meet you when you return. I get sooo excited to see you again that I run circles and might jump up on you. My foster dad is teaching me to sit and wait for some love and I am getting much better. When you sit down I will come sit close or lay down at your feet and go belly up for a good belly rub. I like to collect toys and store them on my doggy bed.
I am good at stay when I am not too excited and we are working on shake hands. I am house trained, but might have an accident during the night so probably best if I can go outside during the night. When I go out I will do my business and then run straight to the door to go back inside. I will go into my kennel but really prefer to be out with my people.
I am good with other dogs but might need a little time to get to know them before we become really good friends. I am good with cats and mostly either ignore or avoid them.
My ideal home will have a fenced yard or area where I can run and play so I can get all the exercise I need. My foster dad thinks I would make a good running partner too. I want a family that will continue to teach me new tricks and manners. What I really need is someone that will love me as much as I will love them!
