Hi, I’m Cookie! I’m a sweet treat with a bit of spice, as delightful as your favorite Cookie! I just haven’t found my forever home. My 1st owner wasn’t nice to me, he was mean and treated me very badly. My next home was with the neighbor who saw how much I needed help, she rescued me from him and took very good care of me. Since I was abused, the rescue will not adopt me to a family with children under 14.

My new mom was so nice, she cried and cried when she gave me to the rescue. She said it was because I wasn’t getting along with my canine sister. I didn’t want to hurt her, I just wanted to be #1. I really loved my new mom and I wish I’d been better about sharing her. My foster mom says I couldn’t help it, I’m alpha and a bit of a Diva and I just wanted to be the only dog so I could be the center of attention. I especially would like to be in a home where I can be the only girl. I don’t dislike other dogs, I have 3 foster brothers and I don’t mind them one is old and grumpy but I’ll be honest, I’m a Princess and i would love to be the center of someone’s world. I love lap time, I think I need lots of love to make up for what my first owne r did. I don’t need a lot to make me happy, I love going for walks, I will sleep in a crate but I prefer the humans bed, my foster mom let’s me watch TV in bed but she doesn’t let me sleep with her. I’m well mannered and don’t tear things up. If you’ve got the lap, I’ve got the time!

Cookie is house trained and knows how to use a doggie door, if she can’t get outside when needed she knows how to use a pee pads. She’s up to date on vaccinations and recently had a dental cleaning. We do not have a facility, all dogs are fostered in the homes of our volunteers.
