Marley Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Cincinnati, OH

Meet Marley! Marley is about eight months old and the cutest cattle dog mix! This guy weighs about thirty pounds but probably needs to add on some pounds. Marley was found with a couple other furry friends living in the woods and covered with fleas. It is very clear that he was most likely living in a farm as baths seem to be something totally unknown to this guy.

Despite the whatever past this guy has had that has not dampened his spirits! Marley has never meet a stranger and if you are a stranger that doesn’t last long. Everywhere he goes he has to make sure he makes his rounds to say hello to all. Not just once, not just twice but several times. And you won’t be able to help but extend the greeting.

Marley is doing well with his potty habits. He has had a couple accidents in his crate but that’s it. He is also getting used to being in his crate while foster mom works a full day. Marley also is a very quiet guy and I’m not sure if he has ever barked. Typical of the cattle dog breed Marley has to check out everything and make sure all is good. He doesn’t seem to have the cattle dog energy but does get mouthy like cattle dogs do when playing.

Marley loves to run around the back yard playing with the other dogs. He has been around all kinds and has done well. Large, small, old, young, male, female you name it. He is not cat tested.

Marley does get nervous around loud sounds. He also seemed to get nervous when a thunderstorm was happening on the TV. For that reason it’s best Markey is either leash walked or has a physical fence.

Marley has been an absolute pleasure to foster! He has spent a little more time with us as if you notice in his pic we needed to get his eye checked out. Marley went to an eye specialist and was so great while they performed many tests poking a d prodding at his eye. He was the perfect patient and meet all kinds of strangers. The outcome of Marley’s eye was actually positive. They believe it was a past trauma that has since healed. For the most part he is able to see out of it.
