Jackson Great Dane Manhattan, KS

It's a bit too quiet right now, you're looking for a loyal, eager to please dog to greet you with delight when you get home.



Despite his distinguished graying face, Jackson is a 5 year old Great Dane. He has lived in the same home since he was an 8 month old puppy. Jackson's greatest talent is cuddling; he loves nothing more than snuggling on the couch and binging your favorite TV shows with you. He also loves rides in the car and going for adventures - including but not limited to; active walks, a quick dip in the creek, and camping. Jackson would love to be the only dog in the home with owners who will take him for regular walks and adventures!



Besides a taste for remote controls, bread, and leather (he’s a dog with refined tastes), Jackson does well in the house during the day while you are at work (you’ll probably come home to him asleep on a couch).



Jackson is reactive to small children (basically anyone who appears to be younger than high school age) and does have a bite history involving children. Because of this, he shouldn't be in a home with children or infants. He did live with teenage foster children with great success.



Jackson is very smart and eager to please. A professional behavioral trainer was hired to work with Jackson in his previous home regarding his reactivity and behavioral management, he responds to training well. He tries very hard with any task presented to him and has great retention, even if the skill is not practiced for some time he is able to quickly pick up where he left off. Jackson will continue his training as he waits for a new home.



Jackson is house trained, crate trained, muzzle trained, is working on loose leash walking (with some practice he’s sure to get it just right!), knows basic commands and some tricks to boot! Jackson is in good health and fully vetted, UTD on vaccinations, and he just had his annual vet visit.
