Meet Hope

Please give a warm welcome back to Hope! Hope recently came back to HART through no fault of her own. This girl’s adopted mom is completely in love with Hope and was devastated to have to give her back. Her adopted mom is taking care of a sick parent and due to the severity of the illness, her adopted mom was worried about Hope’s safety.

Hope has come a long way from being found dirty and broken on the side of the road. Hope came to HART with her leg broken in two different places. She had literally almost lost all Hope until she was rescued. With her one leg, a little shorter than before, as part of the bone had to be removed, Hope is a completely new dog. She has almost gained full use of the leg at this point but if she decides to be a speed demon you may see her hopping on three legs versus four.

One of the biggest changes in Hope is her interactions with the furry friends in her foster home. Once a dog who was as scared and protective of herself has blossomed into an outgoing socialite. Hope loves to play with all dogs of any shapes or sizes. You can see her wrestling with them and her favorite pastime is to nibble on their ears.

Hope is very loving with all the people she meets. She will trot up right on up to you, sit and then look up at you with her soulful eyes begging for head rubs. She loves to be petted and is a fantastic snuggler

Hope does great with her training habits. She does well in the crate but can be a bit barky. She no longer has accidents in the home or crate if taken out on a schedule.

Hope is a small girl at about 25 pounds. We are calling her a lab mix but that is a pure guess as labs are usually a bit larger. She is estimated between 1-2 years of age.

Hope is ready for the next chapter of her life to begin.

She has done great hanging out at her foster home for the last couple months healing so that she can now find her furever home and transitioned to her adoptive home very well.

Hope will definitely need someone with a HART full of love to give and continue to show her people are actually good.
