Meet Teddie
Teddie is a 1.5 year old Lab/Hound mix from West Virginia. He weighs around 40 pounds. Teddie is scheduled for his neuter April 23rd and will be availble for his forever home after.
Teddie is very shy and it takes him a few days to warm up to a new environment. He doesn’t take long at all to warm up to other animals.
He currently lives with other dogs, cats, ducks, and chickens. He gets along with all of them wonderfully. Once he warms up to people, he absolutely loves all over them.
Teddie is potty trained and crate trained.
At his foster home, he has a kennel in the basement that he loves to spend time in. He enjoys the dark and quiet time after a good play with his foster siblings. Teddie seems to have had a difficult past, so he needs a quiet place to get away from his fears and feel comfortable.
Teddie does seem to be scared of small children. He runs away from the 4 year old in his foster home and lets out a nervous bark if he gets too close.
Teddie isn’t a big fan of leashes. He runs away from his foster when they get the leash out. However, after the leash is on, he walks just fine!
Teddie would do best in a family with no small children and a fenced in yard. If you are interested in adopting Teddie, please fill out an application at rescueahart.org.
All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks. If you are interested in any of our pets, you must complete an online dog adoption application at www.rescueAhart.org . The application will put you in touch with this wonderful dog's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks! www.rescueAhart.org
