Meet Parrish
Parrish is a beautiful black hound mix with gold brindle on her face, chest, and lower legs. She was surrendered because the owner, an elderly gentlemen, could no longer care for her and the 4 other dogs in his house. All of the dogs are bit shy. During transport they were very afraid but became at ease at the foster’s house within 20 minutes.
She is afraid of new people and places but warms up after being introduced, especially with adults. In fact, Parrish loves being next to her human friend and is excited when you come into the room. She warms up to children if introduces slowly. She isn’t shy with other dogs and is playful with her sister Lilah and the fosters Beagle mix.
She rides well in the car. She is a fairly quiet dog, I believe the only time she barks is greeting neighbor’s dogs along the fence. Her activity level is average. Parrish weighs 33 pounds and is about 17 inches at the shoulders. The vets estimate she is 2 years old. She appears to be house trained, has never had an accident in the house after the first day and she sleeps out of a crate throughout the night without accidents.
If you would like to meet Parrish, please go to our website at www.rescueahart.org and fill out an online adoption application.
All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks. If you are interested in any of our pets, you must complete an online dog adoption application at www.rescueAhart.org . The application will put you in touch with this wonderful dog's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks! www.rescueAhart.org
