Meet Lilly
Meet this beautiful lady, Lilly. She hails from West Virginia and was reported to be an owner surrender due to no fault of her own. She is affectionate and likes her people and can be quite sweet. Lilly is one years old and maintains a lot of puppy energy.
She is a house trained pro. Zero accidents. She sleeps in her crate overnight and knows the commands of sit, down, and stay. We are working on off. It is not her favorite command. She is protector of the house, curious, and is keenly aware of everything happening inside and outside. She has some anxiety and can take a while to warm up to new people. She does not have any resource guarding.
As a carry over from puppyhood she is very mouthy. The mouthiness and jumping becomes exacerbated when she is excited. As she becomes excited, she loses self-control.
She does not realize her size and strength in these human interactions. For these reasons she is not appropriate for children younger than 12. As we are working on indoor behavior, we have not progressed to leash training yet. She will need a calm, assertive owner and a fenced in yard. She loves frisbees. And as much as she loves chasing them, she enjoys eating them too. With some training and time this pooch will mature into a wonderful adult dog.
If you would like to meet Lilly, please go to our website at www.rescueahart.org and fill out an online adoption application.
All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks. If you are interested in any of our pets, you must complete an online dog adoption application at www.rescueAhart.org . The application will put you in touch with this wonderful dog's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks! www.rescueAhart.org
