Meet Venus
This is Venus, an active, athletic, smart, and loyal 60-pound Dutch Shepherd we recently took in. Venus’ owner passed a few years ago, and she has been bounced around a lot since then. Now she’s looking for a place she can stay and be loved for the rest of her life.
Venus is about 8 years old, but she sure doesn’t act like it. She’s agile and energetic and will chase a tennis ball for HOURS. ? Venus gets along with other dogs and kids. She’d do best in an active home with older kids due to her size and energy level. We have not seen Venus interact with cats yet.
Venus is house trained and crate trained and she has some minor separation anxiety (no destructive tendencies, just anxiety). Now that she’s feeling safe in her foster home, she is making progress in this area. She should probably be crated when left alone until she’s comfortable.
Venus is smart, already knows her basic commands and would love for you to teach her more. Other than overcoming some skin issues due to poor nutrition and flea infestation, she is in good health and will be ready for a forever home as soon as she’s spayed. Apply to adopt Venus at purple-paws.org.
The adoption fee is $200.
