Meet Marvelene
ADOPTION PENDING - Hi Everybody! I was just recently rescued from an irresponsible breeder who had plans to euthanize me because she needed to ‘get rid of” some of her dogs.
Can you believe it? I’m perfectly healthy and I’m only about a year old—but I have already had a litter of puppies.
From now on, though, things will be looking up for me.
I weigh 24 lbs. and I'm a Beagle/Pug mix. (The people who breed “designer dogs” call me a Puggle. But the term “designer dog” is silly because it’s really just a fancy term for a unique mix!)
I am very sweet, I love people, and I’m really good with other dogs (so I absolutely need to have another doggie friend to hang out and play with).
My foster mom says—because I’m full of energy—I also need a large, safely fenced yard to run around it (Please, no invisible fencing).
No one trained me as a little puppy, so I am still working on my housebreaking skills--but I'm very smart and am learning fast! For this reason, an adopter who is retired or who works from home (or who only works part time) would be best for me.
PLEASE NOTE; Just as each potential adopter has a specific idea in mind of what kind of a dog they want to adopt, we--as Marvelene's advocates--know what SHE will need to be happy. These needs include a large safely fenced yard, another dog to be pals with, AND someone who is home much of time (since Marvelene doesn't do well crated for any length of time). If you cannot provide the above requirements for Marvelene, please continue your search for a great dog who would be a better match.
If you think you could provide Marvelene with all the things she needs to live happily ever after, please e-mail her foster mom at: rehome@onestarfish.net and tell her a little about yourself—after which time she will send you an adoption application to fill out. Then we can schedule a meet-and-greet.
Marvelene has been fully vetted—including her spay, her immunizations and de-worming, her microchip and a negative heartworm test.
Marvelene's adoption fee is $325.
