Meet Mia
Mia is a 13 year old Yorkshire Terrier. She's spunky and energetic, loves to go for walks and play outside, and has fun running around the yard with her doggy foster siblings.
Mia does great with adult dogs and cats. She isn't too happy around puppies or really energetic dogs, though. She needs time to warm up to humans, but once she does she won't leave your side. She follows her foster mom everywhere, and loves to sit on her lap.
Mia has issues making it outside to potty in time, and may occasionally have an accident. She does give subtle signals that she has to go out, but it's best to keep pee pads down for her in case she has an accident. She always hits the pee pad, and she's kennel trained.
This sweet little girl loves attention from people, but does not enjoy the company of smaller children that don't respect her space. She has early signs of cataracts, and although she can still see just fine, she does not have much peripheral vision. Due to that, she doesn't like people sneaking up behind her, or coming at her from an angle she can't see.
Mia's perfect family will be with people who are very patient with her, and understand senior dogs needs. Her life has been turned upside down several times since January, and she needs a stable forever home who is willing to work with her on her issues.
